The latest Lotus launched by the British automaker is a new sensation for supercar enthusiasts. The new Lotus Exige Sport’s lightweight and power described the previous models Evora Sport 410 and Elise Cup 250 Edition, and it looks like follow-up model that matches their defined criteria.
The new Lotus Exige Sport 380 is blessed with 3.5-litre V6 engine tweaked with new supercharged pulleys, which produces 375hp or 325hp per tonne of power. This machine has a weight of 4,660kg. If you are slightly good at math and you do the math, you will notice that this monster is only 23hp short of the magical one-to-one ratio, meaning 1hp to 1 tonne.
Due to having an extra or you can say phenomenal power; this machine completes 0-100km/h in just only 3.7 seconds, with a top speed of 178mph- the top speed yet any Lotus have.
The CEO of Group Lotus plc Jean-Marc Gales said, “We have saved something special for our last new car of 2016. The cut in weight is nothing short of drastic and, combined with the hike in power and its enhanced agility, we have created something exceptional – far greater than the sum of its parts.”
This car is best for especially for the drivers want to have an everyday supercar experience. And the good news for Lotus fans is that after almost a decade, Lotus is firmly back in the black. This massive achievement has been achieved by its engineers. So Lotus is back in a position to start investing heavily in developing new models.
So news for the Lotus fans is that all-new version of the compact Elise sportscar is expected in 2020. But meanwhile, the company is busy improving its current range of cars in terms of handling, weight, and performance.
