Tesla is now considered as third fastest accelerating production car in the world. The Model S P100D of Tesla can go from zero to 60mph in just 2.5 seconds, while its “Ludicrous mode” on. According to Tesla, that is only slower than the Porsche 918 Spyder two-seaters and Ferrari LaFerrari.
This model of Tesla, S P100D, has five adult seats with four doors and also some room for cargo is a plus point and has ample boot space as well. But with having all these facilities we haven’t even talk about the price yet.
There is some news circulating on the internet, with many sites claiming, P100D as the fastest production car on the earth (actually it is not like that) and its acceleration time beats the gravity. But the founder of Tesla Motors Elon Musk shows that he knows the trick, how to be in the headlines.
According to US regulatory standards, the 100-kilowatt battery in P100D increases the range up to 315 miles or by a European Union standard it can go up to 613 kilometers. According to Tesla Motors, these facts make this supercar the first electric vehicle which breaks the 300-mile limit.
Talking about the price of P100D, it starts from $135,000 and has a top speed up to 155mph. As compared to its rivals the LaFerrari and Porsche 918, P100D is pretty cheap because LaFerrari and Porsche 918 cost you around $1 million.
According to the maker of this car, “While the P100D Ludicrous is obviously an expensive vehicle, we want to emphasize that every sale helps pay for the smaller and much more affordable Tesla Model 3 that is in development.” If we look into the level of acceleration of this car, no other car at this price is able to obtain it.
