Absolute an Italian boat builder and a manufacturer has won kudos at the 2015 Boat Show in London. They have won in the Trawler and Aft Cabin category. So they have pretty blown away by this success as they have dubbed this win to their innovation and design. Absolute has made use of Volvo’s IPS Drive System powertrain, and they are first to do so in the industry. Due to the compactness of IPS, they have made full use of the extra space for the luxury of the yacht. The IPS Drive Systems are some of the most efficient yet powerful engines compare to the conventional shaft drives.
The area on the yacht is specifically made available to the crew and the passengers, the area resembles a 70feet boat rather than a small ship. But the actual size the yacht is about 48feet.
Not often a boat has been called a “Trawler”, but it rather suits this ship more than to be called a “Yacht.” It rather seems easy to renounce a typical salesperson’s fustian but to that the boat maker says, “She is a real boat.” This makes the yacht more prominent than other models as it can be of use other purposes too, not just be a super luxury yacht.
“Navetta” can be called a “nice little ship” but Absolute claims it can do rather much more than that and be categorized as a boat too.
Absolute has kept a keen eye on safety as it can be seen from the moment you get on the ship. The excess for the stern is not for everyone who gets on board. Both the passenger size is behind the high protected gunwale and high bulwarks along the edge of the fly bridge and main deck. Around the outskirts of the boat, handrails are there to ensure the safety of passengers.
Like it has been said, safety is Absolute’s priority which is accentuated by the great visibility from the helm of the stations. It increases the maneuverability in all uses that facilitate the access to the engine room.
Navetta 58 looks sharp and robust but when on the inside it feels like the most luxurious and comfortable boat.
The ceilings across all sections of the yacht are extremely high. This stands true starting from the owner’s cabin, crew quarters and engine rooms which are highest in its class. All the vertical spaces are designed in a way to minimize the need of stairs and doors to the decks. In the gallery, windows are designed to look more spacious. The yacht has three double cabins and two single rooms for the crew. All these rooms are complemented with luxury appliances, wardrobes, and gadgets to make your time on the yacht worthwhile.
The upper deck has a couple of lounges with a built-in dining station just of the aft of the control station which provides the splendid view of the main deck and its sun lounge. On the main deck, just around the cockpit, a spacious lounge and a sitting area for the guests lead further to the saloon. Take a couple of steps and you will be greeted with a galley and another dining area.
